Compare vehicle configurations around your daily work
Use the same questions for every candidate so you can review configurations against your actual requirements.

Create one shared brief
Write a short description of your expected work before comparing model names. Include the type of load or task, typical route, working hours and any equipment the vehicle must connect to. Ask your operations team which requirements are essential and which can be discussed. Use that same brief when asking about every candidate on your shortlist.
Ask for comparable details
Request written details for the engine, transmission, drivetrain, dimensions and relevant body or equipment configuration of each proposed vehicle. Keep the stated units and model references beside the figures. Where an answer is missing, mark it as awaiting confirmation. Ask the seller to explain how the proposed configuration addresses your stated use, rather than deciding from a model name alone.
Resolve differences before choosing
Review the candidates side by side and turn every material difference into a question. What is included with this vehicle? Which details still need verification? What maintenance information, parts references or support arrangements can be confirmed? Record the answers with the quotation date, then check that the final offer refers to the configuration you actually reviewed.
